It is impossible to travel through Northeast Ohio without seeing the words Western Reserve. Most people are vaguely aware of the Western Reserve, but few appreciate the fascinating story behind how the northeast corner of a state could be called "Western." Join Eric Rivet, Chief Curator of the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland, for a presentation on Northeast Ohio's history and learn how Connecticut factors into the history of the region.
 

About the Presenter:
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, native Eric Rivet has worked in the museum field for 28 years. After more than a decade of work on historic naval ships in Louisiana and upstate New York, he served as one of the curators of the National World War II Museum in New Orleans for six years. He became the Chief Curator of the Western Reserve Historical Society in 2015.
