Program Description

Event Details

Children can jump right into the role of paleontologist as they excavate “bones” during a guided dig in our Dino Dig Tank. As they uncover fossils, participants explore how dinosaurs lived, what they needed to survive, and how scientists use evidence to learn about their habits and characteristics. Hands-on activities guide children through the fossilization process, including making tooth prints and creating their own cast of a dinosaur tooth. Each child takes home their tooth cast, along with a deeper understanding of fossils, dinosaurs, and scientific tools used to study Earth’s prehistoric past. This program is designed for children in grades K-5th and is presented by Mad Science of Northeast Ohio.
